We’re excited to share a new publication by Dr. Assemgul Kozhabek, who recently joined TEMET Lab as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Her paper, titled “Robustness Assessment of Urban Road Networks in Densely Populated Cities,” has just been published—and it marks both a conclusion and a new beginning.
This research, developed during her PhD at Bournemouth University, explores how urban road networks respond to targeted and random disruptions using centrality-based network strategies. The study offers valuable insights into the structural resilience of cities like Surat, Ahmedabad, Quanzhou, and others—emerging urban hubs where transport infrastructure plays a critical role in development.
Fittingly, the final revisions of the paper were completed during Dr. Kozhabek’s first week at TEMET Lab.
Now, as she steps into her postdoctoral role, Dr. Kozhabek is aligning her deep expertise in complex networks and data science with TEMET’s core mission: understanding and improving research reproducibility.
We’re thrilled to have her on the team and look forward to her contributions as we tackle the challenges of reproducibility across data-intensive disciplines.
